The New $ 10.00 Club

Open Gate Ministries is looking for individuals, churches, and businesses willing to donate $10.00 (or more) a month to help us care for the needy of our surrounding area by giving them food, clothing and temporary housing. The number of people coming to us continues to increase each month, and our expenses also continue to increase, placing an extra burden upon our already stretched budget.

THERE IS A DEFINITE NEED!

Our goal is to enroll 10% of Dinuba’s population of 24,000 in monthly pledges to support Open Gate’s Mission. Total response goal is 2,400.

WILL YOU HELP REACH THIS GOAL?

For each $ 10.00 you pledge monthly, it will count as one response. (Example: if you pledge $20.00, it will count as 2 responses; $30.00=3 responses and so on) How much can you help with each month?

WHAT'S IN JESUS' BASKET?

"Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all..." ------- Galatians 6:10a

Every year in the fall I speak to the Awana Club at the Baptist Church here in Dinuba. This year was no exception, and I always enjoy seeing the bright, young, faces of the kids as they are eager to hear a message. The adults appear to enjoy the stories as much as the younger ones.

This year my presentation was the wonderful pas- sage about Jesus feeding the multitude with just five loaves and two fishes. The kids were excited and amazed that Jesus could feed so many with so little.

This month our Executive Director, Pastor Ray, is re-introducing the Ten Dollar Club to our area. His goal is to get a response from a tithe of the local population, only 2,400 people, to make a commit- ment to Open Gate of at least ten dollars per month.

Just imagine, what could Jesus do if you put ten dollars into His basket? If He can multiply bread and fishes a thousandfold, what can He do with your contribution?

We ask you to prayerfully respond to our appeal. Give Jesus ten dollars a month, or more, and let Him show you what can be done.

We are doing His work here at Open Gate Minis- tries. For 41 years we have not given this ministry to the Lord, rather, the Lord has given this ministry to us! He is anxious to show us what He can do with our commitment! What will Jesus find in His basket?

As the holidays fast approach, we all celebrate with our traditions, but the gift of giving is universal. Please remember to give to the Lord's work in your neighborhood mission, Open Gate Ministries.

The mission of Open Gate Ministries is to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of persons according to the life and teachings of Jesus Christ through the provi- sion of shelter, sustenance and companionship.

Open Gate is a Christian organization, but it is interde- nominational. Among our regular donors are twenty local Christian congregations of various denominations. The nine members of our Board of Directors are affili- ated with eight different congregations. We serve eve- ryone, without regard to their race, creed, age, sex, or religious affiliation.
